Samuel Rayner Tomb in the Crypt of Arundel Castle Watercolor 1857

Samuel Rayner (1806 – 1879) England, finely painted image titled Tomb in the Crypt of Arundel Castle in watercolour and gouache, extremely fine detailing and realism, signed and dated 1857 lower right, set in ornate washed gilt frame. Samuel Rayner was admitted to the Society of Painters in Water Colours in 1845 and was known for his architectural paintings, and had a work accepted by the Royal Academy in 1822 when he was 15 years of age.
