Vittorio Zecchin (1878-1947) Soffiato two-handled glass vase, designed for M.V.M. Cappellin and Co. around 1925.The term soffiato (mouth-blown) refers to the extremely thin and delicate nature of the glass, a style Zecchin pioneered to evoke classical Renaissance forms. This specific Veronese inspired silhouette, featuring a ribbed body and tall, slender handles, became an iconic symbol for the Cappellin-Venini glassworks during the early 1920s.
