Archimede Seguso Venetian Art Glass Vase, Purple and Gold Inclusions
Description
A Mid Century Art Glass Vase in purple twisted glass with double handles and inclusion of gold leaves by Archimede Seguso. The body is characterized by deep purple tones in a ribbed, twisted pattern that creates a sense of movement. It features double ornate handles, ]which are heavily infused with 24kt gold leaf inclusions. The vase rests on a flared, circular foot that mirrors the twisted pattern of the main body. This style utilizes the ritorto (twined) technique, a hallmark of Archimede Seguso’s work in the 1950s and 60s. With original foil sticker.
