C. 1900 Pallme Konig Austria Art Nouveau Bronze Mounted Vase
Description
Pallme Konig Jugendstil iridescent glass and patinated metal three-handled vase, circa 1900.
Material: The vessel is made of iridescent art glass, featuring a "combed" or threaded pattern in shades of ruby or red.
Mounting: It is held in a patinated brass frame featuring stylized, angular handles and decorative floral or leaf-like overlays at the top and base.
Style: A classic example of the Jugendstil (the German/Austrian equivalent of Art Nouveau) movement, which emphasized organic forms and integrated decorative metalwork.
Dimensions: 11 inches H x 5.5 W.
