Victorian sterling silver teapot by Edward Barnard and Sons in London circa 1876. Weighing 640 grams (approximately 20.6 troy ounces), it features intricate chased and engraved decoration typical of the period.
Maker: Edward Barnard and Sons.
Hallmarks: Lion passant (sterling silver), the leopard’s head (London assay), A date letter, and the makers’ mark for John, Edward, Walter, and John Barnard in a quatrefoil.
Design: Elaborate Victorian ornamentation, including foliate garlands, scrolled motifs, and a vacant cartouche for personalization.
