Oval pendant featuring a hand-painted portrait of a noblewoman in Persian or Qajar style costume, within a sterling silver frame. The richly colored miniature depicts the sitter adorned with elaborate jewelry and headdress, reflecting the romanticized Orientalist and Persian revival themes popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
