Vittorio Gambacciani (Italian, 20th C) Neoclassical Marble Carved Sculpture Figural Group Wrestlers, the Uffizi Wrestlers or The Pancrastinae, after the antique. Signed on base, Prof. Gambacciani. Mounted on marble pedestal.

Vittorio Gambacciani, in addition to teaching, was primarily involved in making licensed marble copies of masterpieces for museums around the world and was considered the last marble carver in Italy.
Dimensions: 20 inches H x 21 W x 12 deep, column measures 42.5 inches H x 24 W.
