French Louis XV Gilt-bronze Mounted Vitrine Signed Francois Linke
Description
French Louis XV gilt-bronze mounted vitrine (display cabinet) signed by the celebrated Belle Epoque master cabinetmaker Francois Linke (1855-1946). A two door cabinet with inlaid tumbling blocks parquetry on the fronts and sides. Adorned with highly intricate, finely chased gilt-bronze (ormolu) mounts framing the beveled glass doors, lower panels, apron, and cabriole legs. A signature reading F. Linke in neat script is found on a gilt-bronze mount, on the top right-hand side of the piece.
Total dimensions: 70 inches H x 41 W x 16 deep.
