An early 19th-century Needlework map sampler of England and Wales, c. 1824 of oval format featuring embroidered detailing titled counties, surrounded by a polychrome floral border. Map samplers were common educational projects for girls in the Georgian period to learn geography and needlework skills. Signed lower centre, illegible.

Dimensions: Sampler measures 20 inches H x 18 W within matting, frame measures 24 inches H x 22 W.
