Erwin Klein German Carved Obsidian Figure European Bison
Description
Erwin Klein (Idar-Oberstein, Germany, 1941 – ) a large finely hand carved of solid obsidian stone figure of a European Bison, the mottled stone adding extra details to the carving, the eyes set with precious stones, signed on underside of one leg EK, a model of this bull was commissioned for Vacheron Constantin, 2nd half 20th century.
Dimensions: 5.5 inches H x 8 L x 3 W.
Condition: very small sliver off front of one hoof, restoration to one horn.
