Antique German Rock Crystal Silver Ruby Amethyst Crucifix, 17th Century
Description
A very fine German rock crystal and parcel-gilt silver crucifix, the cross inset with amethyst and ruby, with a larger ruby set at the base, Jesus below the INRI inscription, set on an oval dome shaped solid base with lion claw feet, marked on the base with the loth mark 13 for 812 grade silver, a Tremolierstrich (zigzag) quality mark and most probably a city or maker’s mark, 17th century.
Dimensions: 12.5 inches H x 6 W.
