Jacob Epstein (American/British, 1880-1959) Signed Patinated Bronze Sculpture of Dr. George J. Strean, C. 1950. With photograph of Sir Jacob Epstein sculpting the bust with Dr. Strean sitting to the right. Signed on back. 


Dimensions: 13 inches H x 9.5 W x 11 deep, 18 inches H including black marble base.
Jacob Epstein was one of the 20th century’s most influential sculptors. Epstein was famous for his rough-textured, psychologically penetrating portrait busts of notable figures.
Dr. Strean was a key figure in the Montreal medical community, particularly known for his work at the Jewish General Hospital.
