Catalogue Note
This model of wrought iron plant stands characterized by looping, continuous line construction is frequently associated with the work of Jean Royere. Comparable examples have appeared on the international market with attribution to the designer, including through leading galleries, auction houses and major online platforms.
Royere’s work in iron during the late 1940s and 1950s explored a refined balance between structure and line, often reducing form to its most essential expression.
