Carol Grenon was known for her whimsical, stylized figures, often depicted in everyday scenes, like the group at a bus stop. Her work frequently combined incised ceramics with warm wood backgrounds, specifically teak, which was a hallmark of high-end MCM design.

The Piece: Each figure is hand-painted and carved into the clay (sgraffito or relief style) before being mounted onto the teak plaque.
Dimensions: 9.5 inches H x 12 W.
