Japanese woodblock print titled The Heroine Koman by Yamamura Toyonari (1885-1942), who also used the art name Koka. 

Created around 1922-1923, it was part of a series titled Woodblock Print Supplements to the Complete Works of Chikamatsu) This series was published to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the death of the famous playwright Chikamatsu Monzaemon. 

Artist: Yamamura Toyonari, also known as Yamamura Koka.
Subject: The print depicts the heroine Koman from the play Tamba Yosaku Matsuyo no Komurobuchi.
Scene: Koman is shown in a red kimono under a pale moon, holding a rope. In the story, Koman is a courtesan who is the sweetheart of Yosaku, a samurai who has fallen on hard times.
Dimensions: 18.5 inches H x 11.5 W as loose print.
