Description

An antique stereoscope viewer accompanied by a collection of 50 plus Canadian stereoview cards. Many from the L. P. Vallee series, Canadian Scenery.

It is an optical instrument used to create a 3D effect from two nearly identical photographs placed side-by-side. 
Popular for entertainment between the 1850s and 1930s, these devices allowed viewers to experience 3D images of famous landmarks and scenes from around the world. 
Dimensions: Stereoscope measures 13 inches L x 7 W, cards measure 7 x 3.5 inches.
