Description

These bookends, titled "Archic" or from his architectural series, were designed by the Spanish artist and jeweler Xavier Domenech (Domenech) around 1990. 


Domenech is known for creating what are described as architectural fragments or wearable minisculptures.
Materials: Aluminum (the conical roofs and circular bases) and copper (the columns).

Based in Barcelona, Domènech belongs to a generation of artists who blurred the lines between sculpture, architecture, and functional design. His work has been exhibited at major galleries, including the Hannah Gallery in Barcelona, which has featured his architectural miniatures in curated collections of masterworks from the 1980s and 90s.
