Autographed official portrait photograph of Maurice Duplessis, a dominant and controversial figure in Canadian history who served as the 16th Premier of Quebec. A version of this photo was famously distributed to the media and used in Union Nationale campaign materials during the 1936 and 1939 elections. 


Known popularly as "Le Chef" (The Boss), Duplessis led the Union Nationale party and held office for a total of 18 years across two separate terms: from 1936 to 1939, and again from 1944 until his death in 1959. 
Inscription: signed presentation piece, dedicated To my good friend, the son of my father’s good friend, Hon. Geo B Foster, M Duplessis.
