Pilkington’s Royal Lancastrian lustre bowl, a highly collectible piece of British art pottery. This specific design, featuring a frieze of lions, is often attributed to Walter Crane (designer) and William S. Mycock (decorator). 

The bowl is crafted from earthenware with specialized iridescent lustre glazes developed by Pilkington’s around 1903. These glazes were a hallmark of the Royal Lancastrian range, known for their metallic sheen and deep, rich colors. 

Motif: The exterior features a repeating frieze of a greyhound dog running. 
Interior: The interior features a central roundel, with lion, set against a deep cobalt blue or iridescent background. 
Marks: Impressed factory mark on the base, England.
Dimensions: 6.5 inches diameter x 2.5 H.
