A pair of Chinese Famille Noire porcelain covered jars, frequently referred to as temple jars or ginger jars. 


Style: They feature the Famille Noire (black family) palette, characterized by a deep black ground decorated with vibrant polychrome enamels.
Design: The jars are adorned with a One Hundred Flowers pattern, including detailed peonies, lotuses, and butterflies.
Lids: The matching covers are topped with Foo Dog (Komainu) or lion-shaped finials, which are traditional protective symbols in Chinese art.
Handles: Featuring raised gilt rings or handles on the sides of the baluster-shaped body.
