Description

An Antique Bronze Ormolu Louis XV Style Clock Stand, characterized by the opulent Rocaille (French Rococo) aesthetic popular in mid-18th century France. It is a decorative base designed to elevate a mantel clock, typically featuring fluid, asymmetrical curves and nature-inspired motifs like scrolling acanthus leaves. 

Material: Genuine ormolu is gilded bronze, created through a historical (and now banned) mercury-gilding process that gives the metal a warm, deep, satin-like gold glow.
Design: The Louis XV style is defined by S-shaped curves (cabriole lines), asymmetrical shells, and foliate scrollwork.
Dimensions: 9.5 inches L x 6 W x 2.75 H.
