Description

An ancient Roman glass vessel, which typically served as a container for oils, perfumes, or cosmetics. With a woven texture within the surface of the glass and green glass.

Technique: While early Roman vessels were core-formed, the innovation of glass blowing in the 1st century AD allowed for faster, more affordable production of various shapes like the cylindrical body seen here. 
Function: Small bottles with narrow necks, often called unguentaria or balsamarii, were used to store precious liquids, with the slender neck designed to minimize evaporation
Dimensions: 3.75 inches H.
