An original etching or eau-forte titled Bateau-Lavoir by the Swiss artist Joseph Megard (1850-1918). 


Artist: Joseph Megard was a prominent Swiss landscape painter and etcher born in Carouge, near Geneva. He is best known for his detailed views of Geneva and the surrounding regions. 
Subject: The title Bateau-Lavoir translates to "wash-boat." These were floating wash-houses once common on European rivers like the Rhone in Geneva.
Medium: Etching or Eau-Forte.
Signature: Plate signed and pencil signed in matting.
Dimensions: Paper measures 9.5 inches H x 14 W, frame measures 18 x 22 inches.
