Exceptional Victorian sterling silver presentation teapot, richly engraved and inscribed, commemorating service aboard HMS London in 1874. The body is decorated with a combination of vertical fluting and an upper band of finely engraved foliate motifs, centered by a presentation inscription reading:

“Presented to Captain Jarvis … HMS London … Portland, July 1874”
Hallmarked for London and attributed to silversmith Frederick Brasted, with retailer’s mark for Debson, Piccadilly, London, indicating a prestigious retail origin. The piece stands as both a functional object and a historical commemorative artifact tied to the Royal Navy.
