Description

Compact Soapstone Ptarmigan or Owl standing upright with rounded body, small head, and simplified facial features. The bird’s wings are indicated by shallow relief carving along the sides, while the feet are rendered with incised claw detailing. The underside bears the carved signature “Mangitak.”
