Description

Hand-carved wooden sculpture depicting a killer whale identified as “Skana, ” referencing the supernatural killer whale spirit of Northwest Coast Indigenous mythology. 

The underside bears a hand-inscribed explanation reading “Killer Whale ‘Skana’ – N.W. Pacific Coast Indian Tribes Crests and Myths – Hand Carved – Red Yellow Cedar, ” mounted on wooden stand.
