Description
A decorative near pair of candlestick or lamp bases composed of solid malachite elements, formed as stacked globular sections and mounted with gilt metal fittings. The richly patterned stone displays natural banding and tonal variation characteristic of malachite, ranging from deep forest green to lighter striated zones.
The shafts are constructed from multiple turned malachite segments separated by gilt collars, and raised on circular malachite bases.
