Description
Antique Chinese Gilt Bronze figure of a seated Bodhisattva, likely Guanyin, dating to approximately the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
Material: Cast bronze, featuring a dark patina and sometimes traces of original pigment or lacquer.
Design: Seated in a lotus position (dhyanasana) on a lotus throne. Adorned with an elaborate, high diadem or crown, detailed jewelry, and voluminous, flowing robes. Measuring 13 inches H x 8 W x 5 deep.
