Lot 203:
French Art Deco Copper Culinary Jelly Cake Mold, Possibly Dehache
Description
Art Deco copper culinary mold of cylindrical form with central tube and bold stepped exterior decoration composed of rounded lobed elements and pointed geometric motifs. The strong architectural relief reflects early 20th-century French design, combining functional kitchenware with sculptural presence.
The underside bears a partial stamp reading “ACHE”, possibly Dehache, a known French copperware maker (attribution based on partial mark). Interior shows expected tinning wear from use; exterior retains warm copper tone with natural oxidation and verdigris in recessed areas.
A striking and decorative example of early 20th-century French copper culinary ware.
