Monumental antique oil on canvas painting depicting the Madonna and Child (also known as the Madonna of the Rosary), after a work by Bartolome Esteban Murillo signed lower right Marcantonio Franceschini (After). The original was created by Murillo circa 1650 and is currently housed in the Palazzo Pitti in Florence, Italy.
Subject: A classic religious depiction of Madonna and Child, the Virgin Mary (the Madonna) holding the Christ Child.
Style: Classical/Baroque style, framed in an exceptional, ornate and heavy giltwood frame.
