Lot 117:
Antique Himalayan Carved Wood Guardian Figure with Glass Eyes
Description
Carved wooden standing guardian figure depicted in a commanding frontal pose, with one arm raised and the other held close to the body. The face is powerfully modeled with exaggerated features and inset glass eyes, producing an intense, confrontational gaze. The figure stands on a carved base and retains a deep, dry patina.
The raised arm is carved with a clenched hand, indicating it likely originally held a ritual implement or weapon, now absent.
