Tibetan-Style Gilt Metal Box with Inset Cabochons
Description
Round gilt-metal lidded box decorated in high relief with scrolling foliate motifs and set with a central cluster of coral-colored cabochons surrounded by a ring of turquoise-colored stones. Tibetan or Himalayan style, likely mid-20th century. Interior gilt-wash finish. Measures approx. 2.75 in. diameter × 1 in. high.
Condition: minor wear and small surface irregularities consistent with handmade construction.
