Description

Pair of Mid Century Modernist Denmark Poul Volther (Denmark, 1923-2001) for Frem Rojle Teak and Leather Chairs. With original stickers on underside, missing some crew covers, legs on one chair are loose, minor paint scuffs. Measuring 31 inches H x 17 deep x 18 W, seat height 18 inches.

Poul M. Volther (1923-2001) was a seminal figure in Danish Modernism, best known for his commitment to functionalism and his iconic Corona Chair.

Volther’s work is characterized by a "form follows function" approach, avoiding fleeting trends in favour of rational design and high-quality craftsmanship. He frequently collaborated with manufacturers like Erik Jorgensen and Frem Rojle.
