Guido Gambone (1909-1969) was one of the most influential Italian ceramicists of the mid-20th century. His work is celebrated for its unique fusion of traditional Mediterranean techniques with modern, avant-garde aesthetics.
The piece features a hand-painted design of various sized rectangles in orange and black on a white crackle glaze background.
With a glazed signature and a donkey mark on the underside. Small professional restoration to one corner.
