English Porcelain Imari King’s Pattern Slop Bowl, c. 19th Century
Description
Finely decorated English porcelain bowl in the classic Imari palette of cobalt, iron-red and gilt, featuring a central flowering tree framed by rich border ornament.
Hand-painted porcelain with gilt accents; exterior decorated with stylized floral sprigs. Traditional “King’s Pattern” palette and layout, inspired by early Imari Japanese ware but executed in an English 19th-century factory (possibly Coalport or Worcester). Diameter 6.5 inches; height 3 inches. Minor age wear consistent with period.
