Catalogue Note
Ito Shinsui, one of the foremost artists of the Shin-Hanga movement, was celebrated for his portrayals of “modern beauties.” Early Spring is among his most iconic early 1930s designs, blending traditional woodblock technique with contemporary fashion influence.
