Noboru Sawai (1931-2016) was an internationally recognized printmaker known for combining Eastern Japanese woodblock and Western etching techniques.
He taught at the University of Calgary for 22 years before moving to Vancouver to establish his own studio. Sawai’s work often featured erotic imagery and he was known for being a deeply philosophical and contradictory person. Measuring 25” x 21”, 32” x 28” framed.
