Description
Francis E. Jamieson (England, 1895-1950) Watercolour harbor scene of Newcastle, attributed to Francis E. Jamieson, who sometimes signed his work with the pseudonym “R. Jameson”. Jamieson was a prolific British artist who painted landscapes, seascapes, and harbor scenes, often in an impressionistic style. It has been suggested that Jamieson painted under multiple different artist names so he could sell more of his paintings unbeknownst to his employers. Image measures 9” x 14”W, 10” x 16” framed. Signed lower left.
