Carved black serpentine stone, incised signature Echalook underside. Height: 4.1 in. (10.4 cm).

A compact Inuit carving by Markoosie Echalook of Povungnituk, depicting a stylized crouched human figure. Executed in dark serpentine with subtle incised details, this work is characteristic of the abstracted figural style of the 1970s Nunavik school.
