19th C Chinese Export Hand Painted Mother of Pearl Fan, Circa 1890
Description
The paper panels decorated with hand painted vignettes of Elizabethan figures and structures in a garden setting, affixed to finely pierced blades and guards decorated with silver & gold foil overlay. Minor tear one panel, minor losses to overlay. Dimensions, 10.5” high x 20” wide. Likely Chinese made for the European market.
