Description
Antique Saint Catherine of Alexandria / Ekaterina Greek Orthodox Icon. Depicted with halo, holding a palm branch, which identify her as a Christian martyr, while the spiked wheel on which her left hand rests is a reminder of the torture she was subjected to. Inscribed in corners in Cyrillic, signed lower left. Image measures 7” x 4.5”, 15” x 13” framed. Some loss to frame as shown.
