Chinese Cloisonne Long-Neck Vase with White Dragon on Powder-Blue Ground, c.1900
Description
A tall cloisonne enamel vase of Yuhuchun bottle form, with globular body and long cylindrical neck, decorated in soft tones with a lively white dragon in pursuit of the flaming pearl against a pale blue ground. The design is worked in fine gilt cloisons, the rims with original gilt-bronze mounts. A handsome example of late Qing cloisonne, combining restrained colouring with a dynamic mythical motif. Measuring 10"H x 4"W.
