Antique sterling silver historical Montreal footed christening mug with detailed engraved acanthus scroll design around the body and edge of the foot, marked on the side 10 June 1906 G.F.H. Wallis and marked on the foot From his Godfather F.R. Redpath. This mug was given to George Francis Haden Wallis, son of Herbert Wallis, Chief Engineer of the Grand Trunk Railway who made the first compound locomotive in Montreal, and his godfather is Francis Robert Redpath, founder of the Redpath Sugar Refinery of Montreal and son of John Redpath, Scottish Industrialist of Montreal.Weight 141 grams, measuring 3.5 inches H x 4.5 W including handle.
