Antique Oil on Canvas La Pieta Painting
Description
An antique and early depiction of the La Pieta scene, depicting the Blessed Virgin Mary cradling the mortal body of Jesus Christ after his Descent from the Cross. Canvas measures 19 x 14 inches, 47 x 33 cm. In a later added gilt wood frame measuring 23 x 17.5 inches.
Condition: All sales are final. Although care is taken to photograph and describe the item, absence of a condition report does not imply perfect condition.
