Description
17th C Greek Orthodox Icon Depicting Crucifixion. The surface of the panel is divided into three parts by two horizontal strips: The Virgin, holding the Child on her left arm; The Crucifixion, the two figures on either side of the cross, the Virgin and St. John; Christ the Pantocrator. His right hand raised in a gesture of blessing, holding, in his left hand, a Gospel with a red edge and black letters. Measuring 36.5 inches H x 16 W.
