Ron Jamieson (Canadian, 1917-2010) Winter Scene, Titled La Route D’en Haut Havelock Que depicting a winter landscape with a road cutting through snow-covered fields and a few buildings in the distance. Signed lower left, counter-signed with title on stretcher, dated Feb/78. Jamieson was known for his landscape, snow scenes, and street scenes, often painted in Quebec. He studied art at Toronto’s Central Technical School and at the Ontario College of Art, with influences including J.W. Beatty and the Group of Seven. His works have been exhibited at Art Expo Montreal. Canvas measures 14 x 18 inches, frame measures 22.5 x 26 inches.
