Antique Hand Painted Greek Orthodox Icon C. 1850. The central image of the Virgin and child surrounded by portraits of saints, the lower register depicting Saint George slaying the dragon and Saint Demetrius slaying Tsar Kaloyan. Provenance: bought from Max Stern, Dominion Gallery. 26 inches H x 20 W.
