Section of John Ogilby’s road maps from Britannia circa 1675. It depicts the route from Chester to Cardiff. These strip maps were innovative in their time and designed to help travellers. John Ogilby was a Scottish cartographer and publisher. Approx 17 x 13 inches unframed. Provenance: A Dutch family collection that moved to Montreal in the 1920s.
