Irish George II Style Carved Walnut Armchair
George II Style Carved Walnut Armchair in the Manner of Hicks of Dublin. Shaped top rail carved with eagle heads, above a cartouche shaped splat carved with scrolls, above a shaped drop-in seat flanked by serpentine arms with scrolled phoenix head terminals, raised on acanthus carved cabriole legs headed by masks and ending in claw feet. Measuring 28 inches W x 25 deep x 44 H, seat height 18 inches.
