Print of Quebec City from 1763 depicting a view of city of Quebec including the fort, the cathedral, the seminary, the town hall, the powder magazine, the houses of the Recollets and Jesuits, the bishop’s palace, and the redoubt. The text identifies key landmarks. The year of 1763 was significant as the Treaty of Paris was signed, ceding New France to Great Britain. The print measures approx 8.5 x 12 inches unframed. Provenance: A Dutch family collection that moved to Montreal in the 1920s.
